Safari html 5 support

Hello, I always thought Safari supports html5 video, I have Sierra 10.12.2 and Safari 10.0.2.Recently I ran into quite a few YouTube videos that gave me error and send me to this link: https://www.youtube.com/html5
Why doesn't it play html 5 video? Thinks.
