I have had this problem for a few years now. Thought I'd give this forum a chance as I have a lot of faith in you all.
I have a business and a website http://www.drumconnection.com where we have private videos of music examples to registered students in our school. The small video clips are hosted by server in Florida and are mpeg files. years ago, there was not a problem.
Now, for about 2 years, my students on a Mac running Safari, can't hear or see these videos. If I can get them to download FireFox, the problem goes away and they can view the videos.
PC users running windows do not have an issue viewing.
What you get instead of a video on a Mac with Safari, is a narrow black verticle strip with nonsensicle white characters running down the screen.
Thanks for your interest.
Sincerely,
Alan
