Something seems to have messed up Safari on my Macbook Air 2012. It used to be consistently fast with smooth scrolling. Now it is super laggy and frequently beach balls despite not doing anything heavy. I am typing this with 4 tabs open(no videos playing, Facebook twitter, and an article) and activity monitor is showing Safari using 97% of my CPU, the text is showing up in this box letter by letter instead of as I type it. How can I fix this? I already tried deleting the plist for safari and clearing history/cookies. No new extensions installed. Running 10.8.2
