I have had some major issues with Safari today. I keeps crashing over and over. I have sent a bunch or reports to Apple. I am surprised I am able to do this thread.

Anyone else having issues?

Help....

Peace

Reboot?

You say you've sent a bunch of reports to Apple; maybe we could get a peek at those too? Is there anything you've changed/are doing differently?

Some people, myself included, prefer Safari. If a program isn't working, the preferable solution is to get it working again rather than replacing it entirely.

Rebooted... erased P-ram... still the same thing. It did it 3 times when I clicked on the link from my email.

How can I post the error report? Cut and paste?

Peace

Did it agin while looking around... here is the message.. rather long.

Safari's kind of junky. A real resource hog. Try Firefox.

Your trolling isn't necessary. The OP didn't ask for recommendations on which browser to use. He asked how to fix the issue he is having with Safari.

@ OP- It sounds like part of Safari is corrupted. I would delete Safari and reinstall it from your OS X disk.

Don

I will give that a try.

When it does work I am not able to have more than 1 window open at a time. If I try to open another one it crashes.

I did download Firefox.....

Peace

I don't waste my time on trolling, donny-boy. Just relaying my experience. If the OP is having issues with Safari, it's likely related to its history of such things. S/he could spend months trying to isolate the problem but not find it. It happens to my MBP on a regular basis and only a restart fixes it. Then, after a few days, it starts up all over again. Doesn't matter if I reinstall Safari or not - it persists.

I wouldn't install from the OS X disk, I'd dl the dmg and install from that.

I agree. I'm not really sure what Cave Man is on, but it can't be good for the health. You can install applications from the Mac OS X disk using Pacifist.

Not on anything today. ;)

The principal issue of installing Safari from the Installer DVD is that if there have been any updates to the OS that the OP has made, but his Installer DVD is an early iteration of of Leopard, there could be serious problems with Safari when it looks for certain resources that are no longer present because of the OS update. If OP follows your call, then s/he'd be better off doing a clean install from the Installer DVD - OS and all.
