so when I clear my browsing history/empty cache/reset safari, websites that i have previously visited FROM a google search still remain "purple" in google. for instance:

if i search "orange" in google, and click on the first page that comes up, then close safari, and re-open it to my home page, clear history, empty cache, and reset safari... when i go to google.com and search "orange" again, the site link will still be "purple" as if i have already been there. can anyone explain this?

Are you signed into Google?

Click the Cog Wheel at the top right, and select web history, if this is turned on google remembers all pages you visit, regardless of browser/platform used
