Safari jumping after one key

I have had this problem on my iPad 2 (iOS 8) where every time I open safari and try to do a google search It does a search after I type the first key.
I have to wait then put my cursor back into the search box to continue typing my search. I know of one other person this is happening to and it's very frustrating.

I have the same problem. Strike a key and off it goes.

I have turned off suggestions, "Quick Website Search," and "Preload Top Hit" and it makes no difference.
Hope someone has a fix.
