HI,

im on Mbp Late 2011

osx 10.11.4

16gb ram

i wont go into all the problems I've been having so I'll keep it short -

EVerytime I click safari, it opens for a few seconds then quits. After doing it about 4 times I get the spinning wheel and the system starts to freeze up.

HOw am I meant to get around this?

iI've managed to get it open long enough to turn off automatic safari suggestions but still the same.

ive reset the pram and smc (when I did this I couldn't get my OS back so had to fresh reinstall El Capitan - still the same problem.

I Can't even get safari open long enough to put google chrome on (although I've seen people say google chrome still crashes)

any ideas anyone?

thanks

Try the following:

  1. In Finder, press shift-command-G, enter "~/Library/Safari", and then press return.
  2. Select all of the items except for the file Bookmarks.plist.
  3. Press command-delete.
