Safari keeps disabling "Show images"

Hi all. As I say in the topic, Safari keeps disable itself the Show Images checkbox in preferences (under Appearance). If I enable it, it stays deselected again on quit and relaunch. Do someone has a clue?

What version of Safari do you have? Have you tried resetting Safari from the Safari menu?
