Safari keeps opening

Hello all,

All of the sudden, my Safari app started opening by itself. Everything was working fine yesterday, and now today it keeps opening every time I close it. Any idea what is going on, and how I go about fixing it?

I am running the latest OS.

Have your tried shutting down (all the way off), and then restarting?

As the other poster suggested, a reboot will likely fix this. But it is possible that badly written third-party app or background process is launching it for some reason. That might be hard to diagnose, but listing any third-party apps you have installed would be helpful. You can also check if it occurs in a different user account to narrow down the issue to a LaunchDaemon or app in your user folder vs. something system-wide.
