Is there a keyboard shortcut to move the focus of the keyboard to the content of the webpage, something equivalent to clicking the webpage? I do a lot of heavy, jumpy browsing and I need to keep my hands on the keyboard. It sometimes does work, with an arbitrary amount of tab presses, but most of the times, I keep moving in the tool bar items and address/search field. So I need a definitive shortcut rather than pressing the tab key n times.

Thanks

There's no way to use a keyboard shortcut to jump to a specific part of a web page. However, you can use Option-Tab to move the focus to the page and tab through elements on the page.

Actually you misunderstood me, and answered my question. Option-Tab is what I wanted. There are some sites (e.g.: DuckDuckGo, GitHub) that support keyboard shortcuts (Javascript based), but you cannot use them until you are focused on the page content.

Option-Tab does it. Thanks a lot!

I understood you. I just added the caveat that while Option-Tab will move focus to the page, there's no way to move it to a particular point on the page, which would be helpful in many cases.

Yea, it will be a killer feature if added in future versions. BTW, there is an extension that lets you open links by keyboard: Type-to-navigate. It's very handy.

I'm not sure what you mean by that, but if you Option-Tab to a link on a page, such as on this page, Opt-Tab to "User CP" above, you can simply press enter to open that link.

That way I'll need many Opt-Tabs to reach a link some place in the middle, maybe in a google search results page. But with that extension, I can type "Use.." and the "User CP" link will be selected.
