Help!
I've just tried updating my MacBook Pro using software update ADHD it's just been stuck on the plain grey screen with the circular loading symbol going round and round.

Is it safe to just hold down the power button??

Thanks

How long has it been like that? It's generally a bad idea to interrupt an update.

About 15 minutes now. I've got it plugged into the mains.

Just safari and keynote which are fairly small downloads (I've got broadband infinity)

Thanks for your help, I think it saw me posting on here because it's just restarted and all seems to be fine. It's never taken that long to update before. Panic over!
