About once a week, Safari starts to bog down, freeze up and crash. When this happens, one of the first telltale signs is the jumpy screen while typing in a form box (e.g. posting here).

The past few times the jumpiness started, I've force quit Safari. Upon force quitting/restarting it, maybe 3 out of the past 5 times, my cookies have been wiped out completely.

I've had Safari crashes on the desktop version of Safari many times over the years, but no crash has ever deleted my cookies.

This makes me wonder if iPhone Safari crashes are caused by a corrupt cookie database, or if it's just a coincidence and that the deleted cookies are just a byproduct of the crashes.

After my cookies are tossed, Safari is much more stable. The jumpiness is temporarily gone...perhaps it only returns as I accumulate more cookies?
