Safari loading really slowly 11.1

i just did a restore on my iPhone 7 of iOS 11.1 so the install should be ok but..

Now safari pages load up to about a third of the way, and then stays there for 3-4 seconds before it finishes loading. Really irritating

I haven’t changed any internet settings.

Has anyone experienced this/have a fix??

Edit: I have tested this while on wifi and on a strong cellular connection and it occurs on both (must be something in the software)

The only times Safari on iOS lags for me is when something has gone wrong with the iCloud Safari history sync. Clearing history on all devices always makes any lag disappear.
