Safari more secure than Google question?

Hi Guys,
Really asking for a friend, I have no idea as I use Safari myself
He asked the question as he knows I use Safari, I think I heard that Safari was more secure but I don't know if that is really the case?

Secondly, other than the above, are there other advantages of using Safari rather than google?

I don't know about the security question, I guess that depends on the user.

I can tell you that Safari uses less resources than Chrome and, because of this, your battery will last longer if you are using a notebook.

There are other benefits such as being able to use handoff between a Mac and an iPhone or iPad and being able to use iCloud Keychain on all of your devices.
