Whenever I use safari, a process called Safari networking starts and consistently uses 100% cpu even when I'm doing nothing. I'm on Safari 7 and 10.9.2. I have an empty reading list, empty download list, and I have reset safari and reset the cache from the develop menu.

1) What is this process and why is it using so much CPU?
2) How do I eliminate it?
