hey all, i just want to know how i can stop safari from constantly finding more "news" updates or whatever. its already up to (568) and i feel like its useless energy for my mbp to go through to find more and more when i don't even read into the news that often. is there any way to turn this off? or empty it back to 0?? thanks!

Safari Preferences > RSS > Check for updates: Never

You could also delete the feed bookmark(s)

Right click on the link showing the numbers in parentheses and "view all RSS articles" will show you all the updated feeds and get rid of the number in parenthesis.
