Safari "not connected to internet"

Since installing Leopard my Safari has been acting really weird. Randomly it will lock up and other times it will tell me that I'm not connected to the internet and won't load any pages. Firefox will connect just fine so I know its not my internet connection. What's up?

Have you tried reinstalling safari?

something similar happened to me this morning ¬_¬

i turned on the mac, and for some strange reason, all of the internet connection settings were lost
i got it back up, but it was quite strange.
