Safari not downloading attachments from Gmail

I cannot get Safari to download any attachments directly from Gmail. I have to open them in Google docs and then choose "Save" under the Docs menu.

Is anyone else experiencing this problem? Can anyone help me resolve it? I'm running the latest version of Safari.
