On a thread search, I found that people had trouble with safari, and mail apps not remembering their passwords. This was due to incorrect, or corrupt keychain access.
My problem seems slightly less severe, but still a bit annoying. Safari remembers passwords for many sites, like myspace, youtube, etc.. However, certain sites never get remembered, it does not even ask. I know it can do it, as it had done so in the past. This site (macrumors) is one of those few on the list that I cannot get Safari to remember.
I have:
-reset safari, clearing everything, including previously saved passwords
-quit and re-loaded
-repaired disk permissions even though It does not seem to be the issue
So far nothing has worked. Does anyone know why it would not remember passwords for some, but will for others? Could it still be a keychain access problem?
All in all, it isn't a big deal, I have minor passwords stored in steel.app for reference. I would use 1password but I already purchased steel.
