I've got an old iMac (late 2015) that is on Monterey. After I upgraded Safari to 17.1.2 it no longer loads some websites. It just hangs. Sites include Twitter, Disqus, Washington Post, NY Post, and I assume others. Anyone else having this problem?

All of those sites work in an older Safari (14.1.2 on OS 10.14), and they work fine under 17.1.2 on the current OS. I suspect that the issue is specific to your computer.

Same issue. Mid 2013 iMac, OCLP, Monterey, 17.1.2 is totally busted for me. Fyi, 17.2 beta behaves the same. I've moved to Firefox for the time being.

Same issue. MBP 13" mid-2012 (9.2). OCLP > Monterey. YouTube barely works at all, hangs and stops playing in Safari 17.1.2.

I will also check out Firefox as a substitute for now.

Seems like an OCLP problem. Safari 17.1.2 is working fine in Monterey 12.7.1 Intel.
To reinstall Safari 17.1.2
Occurred to me. However, I believe OP's late 2015 iMac can run Monterey without OCLP.

I have been using OCLP version 1.2.1 for OS Monterey. Just now I was notified about an OCLP update, and downloaded and installed the latest version of OCLP version 1.3.0. This seems to have fixed my problems with Safari 17.1.2. Youtube is responsive and functions perfectly.

Thanks for the update. So far so good for me as well. Appears you were correct, bogdanw.
