Resolved Safari now has distinct lag after updating the browser to 26.0.1

I updated Safari to 26.0.1 on my MBP M2, whilst staying on 15.7 and pages are distinctly much slower to load vs the Safari iteration before. I reset the cache, restarted multiple time, upgraded to 15.7.1 and none of this has made a difference.

MS Edge in comparison loads twice as fast but I would prefer to stay with Safari.

Is anyone else seeing this issue and has a fix? I guess sending a bug report and waiting for the next Safari update may just be inevitable.

I have a clone back up, as well as TM. I'm unsure if the Safari App can just be replaced easily to the former Safari version?
