When they say safari is on the iPhone, the core code for functionality is on the iPhone. The browser itself will work exactly the same.

However, features such as private browsing (first feature i could think of) on the mac safari is not on the iPhone, because it is still a moble version even if it is using the core code from safai mac and they can only include so many features.

there are differences, but as a rule of thumb:

if a site displays correctly on Safari Beta 3, it will also display on an iPhone just fine.

but keep in mind the screen resolution is 480x320.

obviously many features of safari are removed on the iphone, it would be a mess with all of them, but the most important (eg tabbed browsing) remain.

Is there a way to save images from websites into the iPhone's photo library? Or in reverse - choosing photos from your library to send through web mail on the browser (i know you can easily do it from the native mail app, but if you have another email address that is not configured through the phone's mail app and are sending mail via the web browser)?
