Is there any way to add "grab" functionality to the mouse in an app that doesn't have it, such as Safari? The tool I mean is the hand-shaped one that is available in apps such as PS and Preview. I find that this tool is really convenient when reading through a document with my mouse, which I have been using more. It would be nice in Safari too. The scroll bar is there, of course, but somehow I find the grab tool much more natural....

So does anyone know of either a Safari plug-in that does this, or else a utility that has some trick for doing this throughout OS X? One nice idea would be an automatic grab and scroll, in any app that has scrollability, when you hold the mouse button down for a set amount of time?

Or is it just a pipe dream?

hold cmd+option to use the hand in a finder window. not sure about any other apps.
i think Blue Velvet posted that here once and i was like "hey, that's cool" :p
