Safari "open in tab" and Expose conflict help

I have a regular 3 button BT mouse (left, middle, right click and scrolling). I have the middle button trigger Expose so I can see all my windows.

My problem is when I am surfing the web in Safari, I like to open links in new tabs. Normally a middle click would do this but it is taken up by Expose. Is there some kind of add-on that will recognize when I click a link with the middle mouse it would open in a tab and when I click in a blank space it will goto Expose?

I hate using right-click "open link in new tab".
