Safari: opening links in tabs?

Hey everyone. Been using a MBA for awhile, and though i love firefox, i'm now using safari permanently due to multitouch.

one thing i loved about firefox was that every link opened as a tab (you could set it that way) yet in safari, there is only a open link in tab for applications, not for links. you have to hold the apple button everytime you click on a link (which i often forget) otherwise it opens in a new window.

is there a way that can get links to open permanently as tabs?

there is a plugin you can use called "safaristand" , search google for it.

With the number of Words Per Minute I type why would I care to hit the Apple/Command once a minute?
