Hi folks, I have a situation where my Safari when I initially open it, it automatically opens all my bookmark tabs (in which I have a lot) and it completely freezes my Safari as I think its loading.

I try to close the whole window however it just freezes.

I also noticed a file on my desktop which I did not recognize and I deleted it already. Not sure if this is related or I simply forgot what/when I downloaded it.

I restarted the computer and same problem persists. I also changed the settings within Safari, when upon opening new window, I set it to blank page.

Also when the computer restarts it prompts a message if I want my old windows to be re-opened and I selected no.

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

Do you mean Safari reopens the tabs that were open when you quit it? If so then try unchecking "Close windows when quitting an app" in Apple Menu->System Preferences->General.

I agree with tarsins suggestion above:)

Also, make sure you delete that random file from downloads and empty your trash too:)
