I'm on a forum in which I need to toggle frequently between two pages. How do I navigate to the new page and have it set as a Tab at the top of the browser window?

OS is 10.5.8. I looked in Safari Preferences but simply am not seeing the answer.

Where do I find Pane preferences? Under Preferences, the first category is General, then Appearance, Security etc.

What I want to see onscreen are the 'old' page and 'new' page so I can do cut&paste from one to the other.

My terminology is probably off. I'm not real tech savvy.

When you open Safari's preferences there should be a few sections along the top of the window that opens. The third one is Tabs. The first setting in there says "Open Pages in Tabs instead of Windows" with a drop-down next to it. Set this to Always and anything that will normally open in a new window will open in a tab.

Holding command and clicking on a link should also open it in a new tab instead of a window.
