The good news is that this subject has been discussed repeatedly in dozens of threads in the forums, so you can get a much faster response if, before starting a new repetitive thread, you'll first use this link to search the forums to see what has already been discussed. MacRumors Guides are also a great resource. If you don't find your answer there, let us know and we'll be happy to help! :)

You've gotten pretty quick with that pre-recorded public service message!

This is one horse that has been beaten thoroughly!

Safari or Firefox is basically a personal preference based on how you use your browser

Minimalist? Safari
Add-ons? Firefox

And FWIW, IE is dead on the Mac and not even worth mentioning

But you can throw in Camino, Opera, Flock and a few others for good measure

Wouldn't you agree it's pretty ridiculous how many people ask the very same questions, dozens of times, when everything that can be said on the subjects has been said over and over again? I guess either they're so new they don't understand the concept of searching before posting new threads, or they're too lazy. It makes it tougher to find the new issues, when you have to wade through the same old questions, repeatedly!

I clicked the link that I gave you, entered "safari or firefox" and got these results.

It's entirely based upon opinion. My advice: try both and device for yourself.

Also, try looking at these threads:
https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/507587/
https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/453091/

OP is here to argue, not to ask a sincere question, AFAIK, consider he has no doubt when he claim safari is much faster than firefox, and webkit is 10 times faster than firefox.

I usually answer sincere question of this kind with the standard answer "try both for yourself".

but for OP, the answers are:
firefox is faster
firefox offers more functions out of box and through addons
firefox consume less memory
firefox is more user friendly
firefox is more secure
firefox is better.

Ha! Ha! I was complimenting you on your blazing speed... not complaining! :p
