One thing I noticed on my 13" Haswell rMBP is, When I hit the X to close a tab in Safari, I sometimes have to click on another tap or in the window of the tab (if that makes sense), in order to close the tab by hitting the X.

Is this Safari, Mavericks, or an issue with scaling?

I have my rMBP scaled to 1024 x 640, the EFI patch is installed, and the rMBP's software is up to date.

Anyone else notice this? Super annoying.

I have Mavericks and a single click on the X always closes the tab right away. Do you have any extensions perhaps installed that would be causing this?

I don't..

Maybe I need to delete Safari and reinstall.

I don't think that would help. You could try going to the Safari menu then Reset Safari and check all the boxes and reset.

Also try quitting Safari then go to Finder and click the Go menu then Go to folder and paste in the line below. The look for the file com.apple.safari.plist and delete it. Then logout and log back in and restart Safari. That will set all the Safari settings back to default.

Code:
~/Library/Preferences

Oops, I got busy and forgot to check this...

Thanks for the troubleshooting.. tried both and still the same thing.

I'm pretty sure it has to do with my scaling resolution?
Surprised i'm the only one who has noticed this issue.
