Safari PDF plugin petition...

I really like my new Intel Mac.
There is a problem with it, however.
I can no longer use the Shubert|it PDF plugin for Safari with it.
For those not in the know, this excellent plugin has been available
for some years now, and provides functionality way beyond that
built into Safari in 10.4 (such as dedicated buttons for scaling).
This plugin is essential to me.
I have recently emailed the developer asking for a Universal binary,
but there have been no response.
I want the developer to know that we *do* need the plugin to work
on Intel Macs.
If you have an Intel Mac, or just want to help, please write him an
email and request a Universal version!

And slow down my *MAIN* application by a factor of 4 (or worse)?
Just to get the functionality that, let's admit it, should have been built
into Safari by Apple?
Kind of defeats the whole point of having an Intel Mac, you know...

pdf viewer for Safari?

So having just discovered that the adobe pdfviewer.plugin doesn't work on Intel-based Macs, does anyone have any suggestions regarding viewing pdfs with Safari other than the very basic default option?

(I think this may have been discussed a month or two ago, but perhaps someone has developed a plugin since? [/wishful thinking])

I missed your thread on a quick search and started a new one on the same topic.

Please somebody do a pdf plugin for Safari for intel-based macs? (Or Apple: release an update with a more function-rich pdf viewer?)

Indeed ... It's a bit frustrating when you move up in the world (e.g. to a beautiful new MacBook) and find that you left some things, no matter how minor, behind (like a richly-functioning pdf plugin).
