Is there any 3rd party software packages that implement the awesome (smooth) pinch zooming with the trackpad in safari, such as the safari zooming on the iPhone?

I find the browser zooming on the Mac to be horrible. I know the trackpad has the potential, it just needs the proper software.

I'm not sure if there is such a software.

But smooth pinch zoom on the MacBook Pro won't be too nice. On the iPhone, the only reason you would use two fingers is to zoom. On the mac, 2 fingers are used to right click and scroll, if the pinch zoom was so smooth on safari, you'd defintely keep triggering it accidently.

The zoom is extremely easy to use I find. I use it all the time, just hit ctrl and use the 2 finger scroll. In terms of where you want it to zoom place your cursor there and thats where it will zoom

But that is not what the OP is after, what you talk about is Screen Magnification.

The OP wants something like CMD++ or CMD+-, but only smoother.

yeah but it doesn't scale the resolution. It gets a little blurry when you zoom in : (
