Safari Playing up

Hi there,

Recently safari has started playing up. When no windows are open and I press  + N or  + T no new windows open. But if a safari window is open  + T works but  + N opens a new window but the HTML viewer (or whatever it is called) and toolbar dosent show up and only the metallic background.

Im running 10.6.1 with safari 4.0.3 and have tried restarting and repairing permissions without any luck.

Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks,
