Hi all,

I am new to Mac OS, and one of the things i miss on chrome is the ability to highlight a text and search that text in google in new window. Currently it searches in the same page. :(
If i remember correctly this can be done both on chrome and firefox via a plugin. although chrome has it built in.
Is there a plugin for the Safari that can do this?

The Custom Search Safari extension can be configured to do exactly that.

I have it setup so I can select text then right click and search any of the sites in this list.

When I select something using Chrome I can right click and click on "Search Google for [Selected text]" and the search page opens in a new tab.

Thanks, thats exactly what i wanted, and was looking for. I searched for at least an hour on the safari plugin page, and did not find anything like this.
Thanks again.

Sven11, thats exactly what this plugin does.
