On my iBook G4 laptop, there is an option under the Safari menu for 'private browsing.'

On my G5 Quad desktop, there is no option on the Safari menu as such.

My question: How do I remove that option on the iBook (or how can I add it on the desktop) - I assume the answers to these questions are similar.

Safari 2.0 includes it, Safari 1.0 doesn't.
