safari problem - audio continues after close browser

I frequently go to espn.com where a video usually begins playing on the homepage. Every once in a while I will be on a completely different website and I will hear the audio (from the video) begin playing as if I was on the espn site. I try reseting safari or quitting the browser, but the audio continues to play. The only way I can get it to stop is to shut down. Does anyone know how to fix this? thanks

I've experienced the same issue (once). I checked the activity monitor and did a ps, but I couldn't figure out which process was responsible for the audio (safari and flash were not running).
