Safari problems - Cannot enter text in most window fieldsSafari

I'm experienceing the odd problem of being unable to type text into any of the fields in the newest safari browser. This actuall began with version 3 and so I had abandoned*SafariI can only type in the address bar and the google search bar normally. For all other text fields I have to write what I want elsewhere, and then copy paste it to the text field. On any website.*I cannot even use delete!!!Otherwise, Safari seems to work normally on my ibook G4 running the (fully updated) Tiger OS.I would appreciate any insights that people can offer.
