As in title, constant problems.
:apple:Safari 5.0.2 (5533.18.5) running on Leopard 10.5.8

Sometimes people put large gif's on pages instead of videos.
This can successfully freeze this browser, any tips of how to fix this ?

Next thing is searching images on google.
All browsers do it without a glitch, only Safari thinks that it's super cool to
show search results in some fancy-flash-involving mode that immediatley
freezes it (90% of C2D useage just to show me list of few lousy images ?
seriously ?). Can I turn it off somehow ? Latest update supposed to
fix this problem, well there is an improvement - now it freezes instead of crashing :/

Is losing history, search, cookies etc. the only way to make this browser
work any better ? I use all of these, and I would like to know the alalternative
solution
(reinstalling Safari while saving history does not improve anything).

Also does anyone else have problem that when web site is long Safari like to take
a few 2-3 seconds pit stops while scrolling ? Can I make it scroll as flawless as for ex. Opera ?

All help is welcome.
Best regards,
L.

use chrome
I knew it, I knew someone is going to write use other browser ;)
I appreciate your best intentions but it's about fixing not switching :)

Google doesn't remember choosing setting “Switch to Basic Version” so I would
have to do it everytime (which is ultra hard with all that freezing and 90-100%
cpu usage). Adding "&sout=1" with every search works, it's annoying but I guess
I will have to live with that :).

That helped, what about other issues ? Any hints ?
