Heaven or Hell
i am having serious safari problems with my iMac G4.
it is running super slow, and when i look at the activity monitor,

safari is hogging up 150 MB of Real Memory.....!
my question is : can i reinstall a fresh version of safari ?
will that help at all ?
on my other macbook pro, safari is taking up 20 MB of real memory!

150 MB isn't all that much. Safari 3 is currently sitting at just under 300 MB on my PowerBook, and it routinely hit 600+ under Safari 2...haven't paid all that much attention to the max since I upgraded.

Simply closing Safari and restarting it should drop its RAM usage substantially. Emptying your cache can also help temporarily until it builds up again.
