So I'm going to spend a semester in China, and since they block sites like YouTube, Facebook etc., I will need to use a website that offers proxy access to Facebook.

Now it sounds good and all, it's just that I'm concerned about getting my account hijacked. How safe is it to access say Facebook through another website? I imagine it could be real easy for an Admin of a particular site to see my password?? Or am I mistaken?

Please let me know...

I have 1Password installed.. would that help any?

1Password doesn't help at all. It's just a way to store passwords until you need them. Once you enter your password and submit it to any non-encrypted site, you are theoretically at risk.

What about if that site uses SSL?
