I'm posting to ask if the quartz composer plugin comes with safari by default in lion. I'm wondering if I need it. I just got my rMBP and noticed that it was in the plugins folder. The only plugins I remember installing are the googletalkbrowser plugin and the silverlight plugin. Is that quart composer plugin necessary and installed by default? I searched on google for its function but I couldn't find an exact answer and I also couldn't find out if it was installed by default.

Does anyone know what Quartz Composer does? I have looked everywhere and really can't figure out what it is for or if it is installed by default in mountain lion.

Quartz compositer lets you look at .qtz files that are on the web. I'm pretty sure it is installed by the system, thus it's not a good idea to remove it.
