Hi everyone. Hoping someone could help. I have a Macbook and have the latest version of Safari - as well as Mac OSx Snow Leopard. Lately, Ive been experiencing an odd problem with Safari. Every once in a while, I type in a website in the address bar and get a totally different website. For example: I typed in www.facebook.com and it took me to google.com. This is the wierdest thing and I have not idea how to fix it. I also will sometimes type in facebook.com and get redirected to an error message saying it cannot open the page but it has the google.com logo in the top left corner. I have tried deleting cookies, emptying the cache, resetting Safari, and restarting the computer. Someone please help! Thank you!

Check your DNS settings.

Neighbor had similar issues. Turned out the dns settings on his router(thru dhcp) were causing the redirect. He was using dns from his ISP. Changed the dns on the router to Google's DNS servers and everything is fine and the issue hasn't come back.
