I've come across an issue I haven't seen before and wonder if anyone can help.

I would like to change my default search engine in Safari to Duck Duck Go.

I go into Safari - Preferences - Search, select Duck Duck Go from the dropdown and...it ignores me entirely and reverts to Google. I can't pick any of the others either.

What am I missing? How can I force it to be DDG (or indeed anything that's not Google)?

Thanks

I am using Safari on HS with Duck Duck Go selected and it is working perfectly. The Duck Duck Go open when I do a search. Take a look at your Safari Extensions. Try turning off all extensions then see if you still have the problem.

I don't have any extensions installed on my safari. Still can't set any other search engine except Google.
