I've noticed lately that Safari seems to be loading pages more slowly than before. Often times I'll click on a link, and the little wheel in the tab will spin, and when then page finally does load, I have to watch the blue highlight in the address bar creep along as the images appear on the screen. Often times as well I'll have to either stop the loading process and start over, or click on a link again, and the page will faster the second time. I didn't seem to do these things when I first got the computer.

Any idea what could cause this, or is this normal? Is it possible there's some kind of malware, etc, holding things up, or is that a problem at all in OS X? And if it is malware, is there any software that can find and delete them?
