Safari scrolling bar has vanished

I just noticed this morning that the vertical scrolling bar on normally on the right vertical side of the Safari page is no longer showing. I have gone into the "View" menu and tried several options but cannot get it back. Can anyone help out?

It doesn't appear if the window doesn't have a sufficient amount of info to require a scroll bar.

I believe this occurs on all pages including those that have to be scrolled. Right now I just use the mouse to force the page to move so scrolling would be needed

Does this happen in other browsers on the same page?
Are you using any haxies or UI enhancements?
What about plug-ins for Safari?
