When I'm using Safari on my iMac, it seems it's constantly reading and writing to the hard drive. I don't notice this nearly as much using FireFox. My RAM is nowhere near used up. I'm running at like 75% of RAM free.

Is Safari just known for hogging all the resources, including your hard drive?

Doesn't make sense to me that it would need to access the hard drive for much of anything with all that RAM free.
