One of the big features I like in Firefox is being able to keep the bookmarks sidebar always open. As far as I can tell, this is not possible in Safari 4.0. Anyone have any thoughts on how to make this work in Safari? This is a dealbreaker for me, although I am enjoying Shiretoko, Minefield, Firefox 3.1 whatever you want to call it, I really like some of the new Safari 4.0 features. Thoughts?

Just following up on my own post as I have still not found a suitable way to do this, so I stay with Firefox 3.5. Anyone have any new thoughts?

Set your new windows / new tabs to open with "bookmarks".

Really useless to see bookmarks all the time.

I never saw the feature of having bookmarks in the sidebar, it's one of the first things that turned me off of IE a long time ago.
OP, doesn't the Top Sites button function well enough for you? In EDIT, you can make the "windows" to each web site smaller. This will let you display quite a few of them. Medium works fine for me. Good luck!
