Safari tab dragging hangs for 7 SECONDS!

If I try to drag a tab out of a window to form its own window, a thumbnail of the tab hangs under the cursor for about 7 seconds. Clicking does not help, and it happens if I try to drag a tab from one window to another as well. Is there some .plist file I can trash to get rid of this issue?
