Safari "tips" boxes won't close

Sites I browse to with the little "tip" popup windows that cover a lot of the screen will not close. I just want to use the mobile site, not download or use the app!!! :mad:

I've had this happen on many websites, which makes it impossible to use the site. The "X" just doesn't work. :confused:

I've attached screenshots... have this problem on the :apple: Store and eBay.
