safari un-usable

hey guys,
no idea why, but safari has become un-usable. this has started today, i made no changes to my setting or OS, no new addons/plugins/whatever and i just can use it. every time i go to ANY website, safari acts ok for like a minute or 2 and then freezes and i have no alternative but to force quit it.
any idea what to do? i would appreciate any help

Just curious..What version of Safari and what OS and system are you currently using? I switched to safari tech preview as for some reason, the recently updated Safari won't run on my 2012 Mac Mini running El Capitan.

running 10.12, safari version 10.0 (12602.1.50.0.10)

This is so weird, asfaik I didn't update anything so why the change?
