I feel like the edges across the OS are too rounded off in general, but the Safari window just bugs me. Does anyone else find the corners in the screenshot below just...weird?
yeah but why the same window when moved to full screen all of a sudden gets square corners?it's different, that's all. and you get used to it. after all, how much time do you spend looking at the corners of windows as opposed to the content in those windows?
one theory about this (it's been suggested on this forum), is... it's in advance of the next gen macs, which may have really-slight bezels. maybe?
either way, apple seems to think it's correct, and, as always, we adapt (or find a workaround).
It’s a bit like when an amateur discovers rounded edges on shapes in PowerPoint and goes wild with them.Yes, it looks weird. Far too rounded. They took Fisher Price UI to a whole new level.
not sure what you mean. if i click on a traffic light, i get the appropriate response. what's happening for you?For some reason the extremely rounded corners don't work well with the window control (traffic light) buttons. Something about their mutual alignment doesn't match.
I’m talking about how their placement looks weird in combination with the extremely rounded corners. Something about their mutual appearance doesn’t quite match. Maybe the traffic light / window controll buttons should be increased in size to better match the bigger curve of the window corners. Idk can’t quite put my finger on it.not sure what you mean. if i click on a traffic light, i get the appropriate response. what's happening for you?
Are we not gonna talk about how Safari now shows a tab bar even with only one tab open? This used to be one of the best features of Safari to me that no other browser had: there was no tab bar if you only had one tab open - a good way to not waste vertical space. Now even that is gone.I feel like the edges across the OS are too rounded off in general, but the Safari window just bugs me. Does anyone else find the corners in the screenshot below just...weird?

Oh, thank heavens…Check the view menu and make sure that "Always Show Tab Bar" is NOT checked.
Safari with the feature checked:
